- 5 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon water
- 3 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 ½ cups 180g old-fashioned rolled oats (jumbo oats)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon orange zest
- 6 tablespoon whole almonds
- 4 tablespoon sweet dried cranberries optional
- 4 tablespoon roasted pistachio nuts optional
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, water, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt.
In a large bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and orange zest.
Pour the syrup mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until evenly coated.
Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
Bake for 20 minutes, then stir in almonds.
Bake for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let cool completely before adding cranberries and pistachios (if using).
Store in an airtight container.
