Ingredients
  

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red and green holiday sprinkles

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, mixing well.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Let cool on the sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra festive cookies, use holiday-themed chocolate chips or swap the sprinkles for seasonal colors.
