For the Cake

chocolate cake mix

whole milk

unsalted butter

sour cream

caramel sauce
For the Ganache
½
cup
semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips

cup
heavy cream
Optional Toppings
Chocolate shavings

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, eggs, whole milk, melted butter, baking powder, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
For the ganache, heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it simmers. Remove from heat and add chocolate chunks. Stir until smooth.
Once the cake has cooled slightly, pour the ganache over the top. Add optional toppings if desired.
Notes
This cake pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
