Ingredients
  

For the Frosting

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk more as needed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  • Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until well combined and fluffy.
  • If the frosting is too thick, add more milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

Notes

This frosting can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Allow it to soften at room temperature before using.
