Cheeseburger Quesadillas with Burger Sauce

Ingredients
  

For the Quesadillas

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onions
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter You may need oil or butter for each quesadilla you prepare depending on the type of pan you use.
  • 8 8-inch tortillas
  • ½ cup grated cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup diced pickles

For the Burger Sauce

  • ½ cup mayo
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener or sugar
  • ½ teaspoon paprika regular paprika, not smoked
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, dried minced onions, salt, and pepper.
  • Remove beef mixture from skillet and set aside.
  • Wipe skillet clean and heat olive oil or butter.
  • Place tortilla in skillet. Sprinkle cheese, beef mixture, and diced pickles on half of the tortilla.
  • Fold tortilla in half and cook until golden brown on both sides.
  • Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  • Mix mayo, ketchup, pickle relish, sweetener, paprika, onion powder, vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  • Serve quesadillas with burger sauce.

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet or griddle for easier flipping.
