Ingredients
  

For the Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For the Crust and Topping

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Stir in ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  • Place the pie crust in a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate. Spoon the beef mixture into the crust.
  • Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the beef mixture.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and flour. Pour over the cheese layer.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the top is golden and set.

Notes

Let the pie cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with additional ketchup or mustard if desired.
