Ingredients
  

For the Bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or any cheese of your choice
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir in cheese.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and egg. Add to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

This bread pairs well with soups and salads. You can substitute different cheeses to change the flavor.
