Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

For the Slaw

  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

For the Tortillas

  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until they are cooked through and blackened.
  • In another bowl, mix the cabbage, carrots, cilantro, mayonnaise, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the slaw.
  • Warm the tortillas in the skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  • Assemble the tacos by placing the blackened shrimp on the tortillas and topping with the slaw.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the spice level by adding more or less cayenne pepper. You can also add other toppings like avocado or salsa.
