Blackberry Cobbler Bars

Ingredients
  

For the Crust

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Filling

  • 2 cups fresh blackberries

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, butter, salt, and vanilla extract. Mix until crumbly.
  • Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form the crust.
  • Spread the fresh blackberries evenly over the crust.
  • Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture on top of the blackberries.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. You can add a scoop of ice cream on top for extra flavor.
