Ingredients

For the dip

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts shredded into ½-inch pieces for better dipping
  • 7 oz cream cheese room temperature, about 70°F, for a smoother texture
  • 1 cup ranch dressing I prefer Hidden Valley for the most classic flavor
  • 1 ¼ cups hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup green onions finely sliced into ⅛-inch rounds
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  • 1 cup cheddar

For the topping

  • ½ cup mozzarella
  • ½ cup cheddar I always use Tillamook for a better melt and stretch

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, green onions, mozzarella, and cheddar. Mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly. Top with additional mozzarella and cheddar.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
