Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and set aside.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
In a separate large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla, eggs, applesauce, and yogurt. Mix until smooth.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the apple cider. Mix until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While the bread bakes, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon for the topping in a small bowl.
Once the bread is done, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, brush the melted butter over the top and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Let the bread cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, reduce the apple cider by simmering it in a small saucepan until it thickens slightly before adding to the batter.
