Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until creamy.
- Add egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using). Mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in Christmas sprinkles.
- Scoop dough into small balls and roll in colored sugar.
- Place dough balls on prepared baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
