Description
A hearty spaghetti pizza casserole combining the best of pasta and pizza flavors.
Ingredients

- 8 oz spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ¼ cup Parmesan cheese shredded
- 2 ounces sliced pepperoni, about 30 slices
- Sauce:
- 2 cups marinara sauce divided
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼-½ tsp red pepper flakes depending on taste
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 cup mushrooms
- ⅓ cup ea. favorite pizza toppings; sausage, bacon bits, diced ham, sliced olives, bell peppers, pepperoncini
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain.
- Brown ground beef with onion, garlic, and mushrooms in a skillet.
- Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the beef mixture. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix cooked spaghetti with half the sauce in a baking dish.
- Layer remaining sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, and other pizza toppings on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
Notes
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Freeze for up to 1 month.
