- 1 ¾ cups (220 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (40 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (100 g) packed light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (90 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (50 g) mini marshmallows
- 1/3 cup (60 g) marshmallow fluff (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the baking sheet. Swirl in marshmallow fluff if using.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra marshmallow flavor, lightly toast the marshmallows before adding.
- If dough is sticky, refrigerate for 30 minutes before baking.
