Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken strips and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir in the green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. Add the garlic and ginger, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Return the chicken to the pan. Pour in the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to coat.
  6. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, blanch the green beans before stir-frying.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to control spiciness.
  • Substitute honey with brown sugar if preferred.
