Description

A flavorful twist on classic sloppy joes, featuring Cajun-spiced ground chicken with onions, peppers, and melted cheddar cheese on toasted buns.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground chicken
  • 1 Small Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 Bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 Cup Chicken broth
  • 1/4 Cup Heavy cream
  • 1 Cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 Brioche or hamburger buns
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
  3. Add ground chicken and Cajun seasoning. Cook until chicken is browned.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Toast the buns lightly.
  7. Spoon the chicken mixture onto the buns and serve.
