- 1 lb Ground chicken
- 1 Small Onion, finely chopped
- 1 Bell pepper, chopped
- 2 Cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 Cup Chicken broth
- 1/4 Cup Heavy cream
- 1 Cup Shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 Brioche or hamburger buns
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Add ground chicken and Cajun seasoning. Cook until chicken is browned.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Toast the buns lightly.
- Spoon the chicken mixture onto the buns and serve.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste.
- Serve with a side of pickles or coleslaw.
- Can substitute ground turkey for chicken.
