Description
Crispy and sweet air fryer churro bites made with a simple dough and coated in cinnamon sugar.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- ⅓ cup (plus one tablespoon) unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, salt, and sugar to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then mix in vanilla and egg.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 2-inch strips onto parchment paper.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place churro bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Combine sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Toss warm churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a piping bag for even churro shapes.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Best eaten fresh.
