Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (from 4 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger (from 1 [4-in.] piece ginger)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 (12-oz.) can club soda, chilled
  • 2 cups (16 oz.) vodka, rum, or tequila (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend watermelon, sugar, lime juice, and ginger in a blender until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher.
  3. Stir in pineapple juice and club soda.
  4. Add vodka, rum, or tequila if desired.
  5. Serve over ice.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka, rum, or tequila.
  • Chill all ingredients before mixing for a colder punch.
  • Garnish with lime slices or watermelon wedges.
