Celebrate the 4th of July with these festive cookies. They are soft, chewy, and packed with white chocolate chips and colorful M&M's. Perfect for parties or family gatherings.

- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened (two sticks)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chip morsels, divided
- ½ cup red and blue M&M’s
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in 1 cup of white chocolate chips and the M&M’s.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and immediately press the remaining white chocolate chips onto the tops of the cookies.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- For extra color, use more M&M’s on top before baking.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it’s too soft to handle.
